Most of us know what the Sims games are. One of my favorites is Sims City. To me, that game showed us that no matter how you envisioned your city, it was still going to do what it wanted. Because of that and life I have seen, I think it is true in the real world as well. So if you want to design a city for the future, play the game and find what you like most and go from there. That way there is no harm and no foul and you get to have fun!!! Kitt ♥️☺️

My name came from a couple places. My real first name happened because a great, great, great Aunt asked my mom to name her child, if it was a girl, after her. She asked because she thought she was dying and wanted her name to live on, she only had boys. Mind you she lived a few more years after I was born until she was 100 plus. Lol
My middle name is a family middle name. It goes back generations. My second middle name is my maiden name.
My last name is my husband’s last name. I chose to take it and move my last name to a middle name. I was proud of who I was before him and I didn’t want to completely lose her.
My screen name is a childhood nickname.
That is the story of my main names in life. Kitt 😊

Writing allows freedom. Though at times I find it hard to think of anything to write, the freedom to write anything is still there. We just have to be brave enough to take advantage of it on our own and respectful enough to allow others the same thing. Kitt 😊

My kids are one of the most important parts of my life. I shouldn’t have gotten pregnant, then I should have died with both of them. Instead, I have 2 beautifully handsome boys who are more than my world. My pride in them is so huge. They look out for others and care so deeply. It sounds crazy, but as I have said before, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders when I realized that if I died right this minute my sons could take care of themselves. Now 2 years later they have proven it time and time again. That is why Pride in my kids is the positive emotion I feel the most.
Sure love is higher, but to me that’s just a given. My kids are great! Kitt ♥️
-
As crazy as this sounds, my family brings me peace. They are also the same people who can spike my stress better than anyone else.
Know my family can take care of themselves if something happened to me is one of the things that brings me peace. Knowing they can be themselves and still love one another, brings me peace. Kitt ♥️☺️
Ps… And of course reading, but anyone who has been reading these knows I am an avid reader so it should have been a given. Lol
-
No matter how mad, irritated, annoyed, can’t stand my family, before I leave or they leave I tell them I love them. Because even through the hard times, the love is there. I might not like them, but I do love them. So, we say, I love you. I think it’s a great habit and one that brings me more joy than I could ever explain. Have a great morning all! Kitt
-
Okay so not shocking. I read to escape the stress of my life. My body dictates what I can and cannot eat most days, so I don’t even eat a lot of junk type foods. I mainly drink water, no caffeine and soda. I do drink orange juice but barely any other juice. What can I say, I am predictable. Kitt 😊☺️🥴

My family and I are setting up at a renaissance fair at Clayshire Castle in Indiana

We like setting up at these and seeing All the fun costumes and wares everyone makes. If you are in the area come check it out. It’s our first time there so wish us luck! Kitt 😊❤️

Most public schools in America, do not teach home economics as a mandatory course. Because of this, a lot of teens going into adulthood do not know how to do simple things like sew on a button or even save money or in some cases cook a simple meal. I find it sad to be honest. Kids are not stupid, from babies to graduating teens, they just aren’t taught in many cases.
Sure, I am not talking all kids, regardless of what I personally see every day. I know there are kids that can cook at too young of an age. I know there are kids that can balance a bank account and pay the bills. But most times those seem to be extreme cases.
I am talking about the average kid who uses their phone to cash app money from their parents. Who calls places like door dash to have a meal. Who ubber everywhere. These are the kids that need Home Economics. Because from what I have seen everyday at work with these kids, they are not going to make it when they leave their parents house. And part of the problem is that is what they see from their parents. But if schools taught simple life lessons then I truly believe teens going into adulthood would achieve more and be more confident in themselves. That’s my view at least. Kitt 😊
-
And we are not talking homemade or completely expensive. We are talking Kraft, blue box, Mac n Cheese. Sure, I know some say it sucks. But hey, comfort food from my childhood that brings me smiles. That’s Kraft Mac n Cheese. Kitt 😊❤️

My son and I love uno. We have so many games of it from the original, to specialty decks, to electronic, to robo uno. We just love it in all forms. Honestly, Di has the gremlin set and I am so jealous. My son and I don’t play for points but bragging rights. We also don’t start a game with just 5 or 7 (I really don’t know how many anymore) cards that you are supposed to. We just pickup a bunch from the top after shuffling and deal out. Though we have learned that anything over 20 cards is hard to hold. Lol what about you? Do you like Uno? Kitt 😊❤️

I have been wanting ice cream for a couple weeks now. I am an adult, why have I not gotten it!! Now mind you, this answer would probably be different if I didn’t want it so bad. Maybe I can talk my hubby into making some this weekend. It’s always so much better than from the store. Have a great day all!!! Kitt 🍨🍦❤️

Isn’t the answer both???
Okay I do prefer dogs to cats but I love cats all the same. I just mostly had dogs my whole life. Which is funny and just another thing that makes my husband and I opposites, he loves both too, but he has had mostly cats in his life. Right now we only have 2 dogs though. Tank, our girl who is 12; Bull, our boy who is 8. We love them lots! Kitt

So as I have said many times in the past, reading can be a time suck for me. But honestly, I have also been known to stare off into nothing and not realize time has passed. I can be messaging with friends and then… BAM… An hour is gone. I can be on here and the next thing I know it’s longer than I meant to be.
Losing track of time is something I am very good at since my kids have gotten older. I am no longer as bound to time contrasts as I once was. Which in many ways is great, in others oppsie… Kitt 😊

My ten things in meme form. Lol
Just some things I am certain of. Hope you enjoyed it! Kitt 😊❤️

When I was younger I loved doing so much. As I got older I loved staying in the house and reading. My son now calls us, “the most active lazy people he knows”. Why does he call us that, easy, once we leave the house we love doing things.
I love the security of my house. I love that I know I can sit in my chair and read my books and all is right with the word.
I love doing things, just not actually the getting up to do it. But once I am up, I love it. I love to plan a vacation. I love to see what is out there. I just hate leaving my house. It’s a conundrum I know. Adventure is great, once I leave my house!!!
And I have to say, everyday can be an adventure for me. Just depends on how you look at life! Kitt 😊❤️
-
I have gotten better with age. I may not be perfect or the smartest, or the fastest, or the prettiest, but damn it I am amazing!!!!! And every day of every year I just get better. And that’s not me being full of myself either. I just believe that every day I am better than the day before. But you know what!!!!??? So are you! It may not always feel that way, but it is true! You are amazing too!!! Kitt 😊❤️

Mentally, I increase my comfort by talking to my family but mostly reading. Because I love me a book.
Physically, most mornings I stretch before I ever get out of bed. It helps with my walking and clearing my mind.
And sometimes to help with my comfort of self I talkout my issues with Di. Other times I just want to sit quietly with someone else and think stuff through. All of these help me in some form or another though. And I am sure, somewhere there is something that helps all of us. Kitt 😊☺️

I am excited about who I am becoming. This year is me realizing I have to be better for myself if I want to be able to do anything the older I get.
I have made many very small changes. I have started seeing some of those small changes making bigger and bigger differences in my life.
So the future I am excited about is me. The me I am becoming everyday! It is exciting for me. Kitt 😊❤️💜☺️

This question is a little close to the conversation I had yesterday with Di. Is WordPress like Facebook and reading our messages….
Okay seriously though, I have learned I am not always right. I know it is hard to believe a woman can admit this but it is true. Even if it is only true at times to avoid an argument that is useless. I believe in picking and choosing my arguments. My hubby and I have been together for 23 years, at this point in life, sometimes it’s just easier to let it go. Kitt 😊

In my late teens it was flowers. In my very early 20s it was dinner and a movie and flowers. I was an easy romantic, what can I say.
In my mid twenties, and after a horrible marriage, those things were just window dressing. True romance was my now husband asking me what I wanted for Valentine’s day and me telling him I need a washier and drier. Then on Valentine’s day coming home from work and having delivery men come and bring me my washier and drier.
There is nothing wrong with the flowers, dinner, movies and more as romance. But for me, kind words, a hug when I need it, listening to me, a kiss to let me know he cares, those are true life long romantic gestures that I cherish always.
I hope each of us find the one to give us the romance we want, but also need in our lives. Kitt 😊❤️

Gratitude is important. I realize this more and more at work. My family is great for saying thank you, giving a hug, saying your welcome, or a simple thumbs up. But work… Work I have learned that unless I toot my own horn there is very little appreciation or gratitude from management. So I try to make it a point to thank my co-workers or tell them what a great job they are doing. Plus I will bake for them, keeping their dietary restrictions in mind. Because sometimes, just sometimes it’s the little things that can make someone feel appreciated. So to our dear readers, likers, and commenters, I thank you for taking your time to read our blog. You are awesome!!! Kitt 😊

I worry about everything which is why my anxiety can be so high at times. But my family is what I worry about the most in any given situation. Not exactly their safety, but themselves. For 18 years I had control of their lives. I protected them, taught them, I did almost everything for them. Now both are 18 and over and I no longer own them.
Yes, I know how it sounds, but if I could go to jail for you, I owned you. 😆 Seriously though, both my kids are smart and hard workers when it matters. They learned a long time ago …
Because tomorrow is a gift that you hope will be good. Have a great day everyone! Kitt 😊☺️♥️

My favorite teacher wasn’t someone who knew all the answers, it was a woman who actually listened to her students. She paid attention to what each one needed and then tried to supply that. Did she always succeed, not even a little, but she always tried and did her best. That’s a great teacher to me! Kitt 😊

Technically I have had surgery, but nothing that most would define as a surgery. To me if a surgeon comes in, I am charged for a surgeon, I had surgery. So my surgery consisted of teeth, and pregnancy. Sounds kind of bad but it wasn’t. Well pregnancy sucked all the bad, but toooootally worth it. So there ya go daily prompt, a look into my life… Kitt 😊

Yeah that is my one and only every day habit. I will start a new journey when that one habit ends … But what a ride … Kitt 😊❤️😃

Well I would say jeans, a t-shirt, bra, panties, and a good and comfy bra. That outfit can be very versatile. Plus it’s what I have to wear when I am working anyways. Lol
Now if we are talking about comfort, probably replace jeans for sweats, but otherwise the same. Lol Have a great day everyone! Kitt 😊☺️♥️

I am the first to say that you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of someone else. Yet, very rarely do I practice what I say. It seems to fall under the realm of, Do as I say not as I do. Which is sad on so many levels.
But one thing I do is take time in the morning to just be. I like getting up early. I like the quiet and how no one is around to drive me crazy. I hate when I get up and someone else gets up too. I wake up early most days, so to get up when I do, it’s rarely an accident I feel.
I like the quiet of the morning as I watch everything wake up around me. It gives me a feeling of new possibilities if I just take them. I love when I get to watch the sun rise and the beauty of promises for potential of a new day are made. It helps ground me for the crazy and stress of the day to come. Kitt 😊❤️

Reading is a great thing. It can be educational, entertaining, scary, funny, and most of all, escapism. Oh and let’s not forget, so stupid your mind goes numb to everything else.
Okay that last line is why my reading can be a waist. Well the last two things. I do use reading to escape and I tend to read the most mind numbingly stupid “spicy” (spicy is used as a euphemism for smut) I can find. It’s how I leave my stress of a home life at times. The problem comes in when I get sucked into the book and ignore everything else. Escapism at its finest. That’s when it becomes a time waste. But oh what fun it is normally!!!
How about you guys gals and everything in between? What do you do to hide from the world when you can? Kitt 😊📚

Yes I know, I know … Not the best food in the world, but every time I have a can of mini ravioli I am transported back to my childhood. Just had a can a couple days ago. I wouldn’t call it good, but at least it wasn’t bad either. Lol have a great day all!!! Kitt 🥫🥣

I would like to retire alive and well. Lol
But more specifically… My retirement I feel is kind of different from what others might want. Which means it is totally me. Lol
First, I would like to be able to afford to retire. I want enough saved to be able to do what I want when I want.
Second, I want to be as healthy as I can be. My healthy may not be the same as your healthy don’t forget. We are all different.
Third, Di is the one person I have always seen in my future since we met, so I see us causing trouble together. I love my husband and kids. Kids grow and have a life. My husband isn’t in the best of health and unless he does something to help improve his health, then I don’t know. But Di, Di is my constant. As she has stated before, we have a weird relationship, but it works for us. And I am blessed to have found he so young and we have never let each other go.
So with all that said, my retirement is a little house on a little land, preferably next to Di’s land and little house. I will have a cute RV of some kind, even a van RV would be great. I would travel to different craft or renaissance faires to have a working vacation. And on my down months I would putter around my little house and hangout with Di and other friends. Oh and did I mention I would have at least one dog that traveled with me. Because, yes dogs are a part of my life.
If I am lucky, my kids will be close by for easy visits and to spoil whatever grand babies I have. (Since both boys are over 18 now, I am not in a rush for grand babies I am just saying one day.) My husband will have figured out his health and still be here as well.
So that’s my idea of retirement. Fun when I want. Lazy when I want. And love all around. How about you? Kitt ♥️☺️

This one is kind of odd but okay why not…
The very oldest thing I own that I still use would be my body. It may not be in the best shape but it keeps going. She gets me from point A to point B, C, D and more. We may go slow, but we go. 😁
Now if the prompt meant besides a physical aspect…
I have had this comb for almost 30 years. It is stained to the point that bleaching will only do so much. It is missing half a tooth. But beyond that, my comb works perfectly still. I love my comb. What’s your oldest thing, whether you own it or not? Have a great day all! Kitt 😊

There are famous things that happened today but hey, I wasn’t there and honestly, I am not answering that way.
My notable thing that happened today, my husband and I went for a walk for the third day in a row. It wasn’t long and it wasn’t hard. What it was, was a third day in a row. It was three days in a row, which normally doesn’t happen. By the second day, we have stopped. We don’t follow through. There is always an excuse to stop. But it has been 3 days in a row and for me, that is a notable thing in my world. I am proud of me and my husband.
Find your personal notable thing everyday and own it. I am going to try to do it everyday myself. Good luck everyone! Kitt 😊❤️

If you asked my school aged self, Summer all the way.
If you asked my 20 to 30 year old self, it was Spring.
Ask me just last year, it would have been back to Summer.
Asking me today, it is Spring and Autumn. Spring for new life that comes forth and everything awakens. Autumn because everything gets cozy for a long rest to renew and reenergize.
Though all seasons are beautiful to me, even the cold and bitterness of winter here in Michigan. There is nothing like seeing the world put itself to rest than wake itself back up!
Have a great day all! Kitt ♥️

Who else could I spend the most time with. Now other than myself, it just depends on the day and if I am annoyed with a person. But if we are talking besides myself, I would say it’s a toss up between my husband and my youngest kid.

Honestly, it took forever for me to like my name. It was old fashioned and no one else had it for the longest time. Yet, as an adult and at my current age of 48, I love my name. It’s me in so many ways. Kitt 😊

I was once such an avid reader. I took the moments of silence for granted and never truly appreciated the time it takes to sit and read a good book.
Now a days, I still love books, but I mostly listen to Audiobooks while I drive for work.
Three books that have really had an impact on me (and why) are…..1. Between A Rock and A Hard Place, by Aron Ralston. This book in Audiobook format is amazing and is how I had the opportunity to read it recently!!! Aron, himself, reads the story and does a fantastic job. The passion he feels for climbing and the courage it took for him to free himself from his trap was more than inspiration for me.
2. Watership Down, by Richard Adams. This book….OH this book. I read it as a child and loved it!!! I learned a lot at a very impressionable age that no matter what…..you stand up for yourself and what you want for your life.
3. The Shining, by Stephen King. This is my favorite King book. I read this book in my teen years and have never forgotten the experience. The story of possession and destiny are rich through out the story. I had never before read anything that talked about people’s ability to “Shine.”
Let me know your thoughts if you’ve read any of these books. I’d love a mini discussion with you!!

Isn’t this question a little like asking for information to steal your identity. Who knows… But since I have nothing to steal, I will give it a go….
I have taken people’s belongings to other states, including cars. I have sat on babies .. oh wait that’s supposed to be babysat. I have taken apart businesses and rebuilt them better, good enough to sell and make me jobless thank you very much. I have also done a bunch of retail, anyone who has done retail knows that’s saying enough. I have of course done the restaurant road, which was fun. And of course Micky was magical. I have done an eclectic realm of jobs. Including owning my own thing on the side.
But my favorite job, the job I thought I would never have and when I got it was completely worth it. Some days it felt like the hardest job in the world, some days were the funnest, some were the craziest, and today is a combo of all three…
My favorite job has and will always be, being a mom to my wonderful angelic devil boys. They made my life and my favorite and hardest job.
How about you? Kitt ♥️☺️🥴🤗
