May 8, 2014 … when plans go ary…

Today’s plan was to make the fur ears and cuffs to match the tails I made. I got everything measured and cut out. I take a break. I make lunch for my son and I. I decide that I will sew them when I get up from my nap. About an hour after I get up, I get a text saying our ladder was delivered. Here’s the issue…

I never saw the UPS truck driver by. No knock or dogs going crazy because someone came up the porch steps. But a notification says it was delivered on the side porch. Okay, next issue, there is no way me and the dogs wouldn’t have noticed someone walking by the window I am facing.

Hubby goes outside to look at the side porch. Big surprise, no package. He looks on the other side of the house by the fence. Another big surprise, no package. He ends up checking with everyone on our block and across the street. He checked the street behind up and the next street over on front of us. Nope, no package. We have a camera facing out front. He checks the feed. No UPS truck drove by our house all day. About 2 to 3 hours later, we checked the tracking for a picture again. The picture they have is not  any house on our street. So I have no idea where this was delivered, but it wasn’t around here.

Luckily, because I have the picture from UPS now and my camera can show UPS was never here, Walmart refunded my money and gave me a credit for my next online purchase. Problem being, I really needed that ladder.

Ultimately, I got all the ears and cuffs cute out but not sewn because I was trying to deal with this.

Besides that, it was not a bad day. Night night, everyone! Kitt ☺️

May 7, 2024 … just missed by the tornados!

We had some crazy weather today. Luckily, Muskegon seems to have this wonderful quality that normally all the worst of the bad weather goes us. My oldest son, on the other hand, almost had one on top of him. It ended up taking out a new Fed Ex builds. My son said it was just a few blocks from him. Crazy!!!!

Besides that, we went through most of our stuff we need to bring to the fair this weekend. Tomorrow, we are going to separate out faires and chalet stuff. We were hoping to work in the chalet this week, but the weather hasn’t been the best. I really hope it is good at the faire.

May 6, 2024 … I got nothin’

I woke up at 2 am.

I went to work.

I went to a doctors appointment to have my doctor called away due to an emergency during my appointment.

I came home and had lunch.

I took a nap.

I hot up from my nap and made pasta salad.

I folded the laundry my hubby did.

I prepped the burgers for said hubby to grill.

We had dinner.

Ant and I watched JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. We are on Chaper 6.

Then hubby and I started watching season 9 of Face/off.

Now I am going to bed.

Not much of nothing is going on today. But I am now going to bed. After I finish writing this. Some days, just be like that. Lol 😆 good night and sweet dreams, everyone! Kitt ☺️

May 5, 2024 … And so it begins…

This week starts my crazy May. This weekend, I have Royal Stagg Renaissance faire in Marshall, MI. I only have a couple of things I hope to make, but if i dont it isn’t a big deal.

Next weekend, I  have Niles Renaissance faire in Niles MI.whatever I sell in Royal Stagg, I have to try and replenish. Oh, and did I mention I am also working during this time.

Then, on the 25th, my Chalet shop opens for the season. This means that whatever I sell between the two faires, I will have to try and replenish. You know… no pressure….

Okay, lots and lots of pressure. But I am up to it. Besides, I would rather sell my items than hold them back and hope they sell later. I would rather just try and replenish what I can.

Sadly, because of hurting my knee, I was not able to make more toes. So what I have is it. But I do have a few so happy thoughts.

I did finish up the tails I wanted to make and figured out the fur wrist cuffs to match some of the tails. Now I need to make ears and, if time, some tail  ketchains.

Luckily, this week I only work 1 day, which is tomorrow. Sadly, I have a follow-up appointment for my knee 2 hours before I am scheduled off work. I rarely, if ever, work Mondays, so of course I am scheduled this Monday and till 10 am when it is normally 9 am. Oh well, I will just be leaving early.

May 3, 2024… gross day…

Okay, this is a gross one, but I am giving fair warning now if you don’t want to read about gross bodily functions…

This morning had made it almost 72 hours since I had pooped. Three days…. I was miserable. I couldn’t sit right because I had to go so bad but couldn’t. The pressure was horrid. Basically, I was past constipated and verging on impacted. And trust me, you do not want that ever to happen.

Well, last night, I figured out how long it had been since I went. Realizing it had been over 60 hours, I took a stool softener. Then, after waking up twice last night because I thought I would be able to go, nothing was happening, I took a second one around 7am. I am so glad I did.

Around 2:30 today, I finally went. I was so glad I was home. The pain of the whole ordeal was beyond bad. I truly believe if it was not for the stool softener, I would have been torn in two it was so painful.

Whi am I telling this embarrassing stuff you might ask? It is a fair question. The answer is easy. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

With that said, here are so.e things that make my bathroom life hell…

1. Too much sugar. Though I don’t normally eat much, there are times I like something sweet.

2. Not drinking enough water. Your body needs water to stay hydrated. Which, in turn, keeps your bowls moving properly.

3. To much meat. Last week, I had some kind of beef for 5 days. Though I do love meat, I know better.

Those are my top 3 to try not to do. Obviously, I do not always make it, though. Hopefully, I will be better tomorrow.

On to simple things in life… I finished 12 tails today, so yay. Otherwise, I rested. Now I am going to bed. Night night all! Kitt ☺️

May 2, 2024 … tails anyone…

I finally got some of my tails, mostly sown. I say mostly because I still have to stuff them and sew the tops. Sadly, I had to use my small kid sized machine because my big one was annoying. I will figure it out tomorrow. today, I just wanted to throw it.

Ant and I did go through the eggs, and we separated what we were bringing to the first faire. That made two, maybe 3 boxes not going. And since one was a big tot, it’s great! Things will fit so much better.

Besides that, the sleeping pill made me so tired that I slept till 630 am. That is wonderful! Now I am going to bed. I just want more sleep. Lol Night night everyone. Have the best dreams you can!! Kitt ☺️

April 30, 2014… good by April … Hello busy May

April was an exciting month this year. It was also very frustrating because of the excitement. But thanks to luck, I had a dream come true. We got our chalet store for the season and have cleaned it. Next week, we will start putting in the product. Maybe later this week, we shall see. For all the frustration, the excitement outweighs it all!

May will be extra busy. We have two Renaissance faires and the opening of the chalet store. So busy busy busy!!! Plus, we still have to keep making products, and I am still working a couple of days a week.  These are not complaints. I am just explaining why May is so busy. Plus, I can’t forget my baby turns 19 this month. See, a lot going on!!!! Lol 😆

As for today… Today was weird. It’s not really bad or good, just weird. I did have a pretty morning, which I love.

Love it! This was a good smiling moment for me. Plus, we cleaned the chalet store.

Isn’t it cute. It reminds me of an old school house. Tomorrow, I will post more pictures. Trust me, I will be taking a bunch this season. Hence, the excitement winning.

The only really annoying part of my day was my sewing machine having issues. Tomorrow, I am going to re-thread it and hope that works. If not, I am going to be calling a friend to help. Ultimately, all will be fine.

All and all the day was just weird feeling for me. I did wake up at 4:30 am, and only laid down for a little while to stretch out. Because of this, I am going back to bed. Tomorrow, I will show you the picture of the green dragons Ant did today. They are so cute. Good night all, sweet dreams. Kitt ☺️

April 29, 2024… tail time…

First, work is just funny. I didn’t even work today, and I got paid a little because I was called to figure out a problem. For me, it was an easy problem. Yet, for my cohort, he just couldn’t figure out how to fix an easy problem. But hey, we all have those days. What I find so funny with it is Emily called me Saturday. Sunday, I had issues, but I think I figured out most of her issues. Today, Steve called me with his issue. When I get texted or called at home, I still get paid for helping. What makes it just that much funnier is the store manager signed off both days, Lol. This shows that even if I am not there, I will help.

As for tail time, I cut out 3 medium tails of 18 inches and 8 12 inch tails so I could have cheaper ones that are just as cute. I will be sewing them tomorrow and I will show you.

April 28, 2024 … work was actually work today…

Work for me most days isn’t really work. Sure, management can be completely annoying and inept, but my job, for me, is easy. With saying that, today was not one of those days. Today, I actually had to work at my job. And what makes that so annoying is that even after I did everything I could, my safe was still 200 dollars over. It literally makes no sense. I know it is a computer error, but there is nothing I can do. Seriously, in the 7 years I have been doing the vault, I can count on 1 hand how many safe balances I have had, and I still have a finger left over, if not 2 fingers. Oh well, I left a not for my cohorts to tell the how to fix it if a till shows 200 dollars short tomorrow. But it really bugs me that it happened in general. Oh well… moving on…

Today, like that last few, was weird for me. But I did finally get my idea for keeping track of everything put together. It took me almost two hours because my mind kept jumping around. But I still got it done, and Dan, my hubby, thinks it’s a good idea. I told him to be honest with me. He said it really was good, and it broke everything up in a way that he can understand. That made me feel really good because that is what I was going for. Yay!!!

Besides all that, life is good today. And now, sleep is calling. Okay, sleep had been calling for almost 2 hours, but now I am ready to go to bed. Lol 😆  Night and sweet dreams all! Kitt ☺️

April 27, 2024 … when your brain just won’t focus…

For the last week, at least, I have felt like I am constantly flinting from thought to thought. Sadly, I can’t say any of those thoughts are complete. My mind just keeps jumping around. It is so annoying.

Then, today, I have been fighting not only this headache but my back feeling like someone is squeezing it and applying so much pressure. Needless to say, it has been an odd day.

Good thing for me today… I have been wanting beef stroganoff for about a month now. Today, I made it. Not a box, either. I made it from scratch. And Ant made his biscuits too. So completely yummy!!!! Plus, I got little cupcakes at the store. Yes, I know I could have made them, and it would have been so much cheaper, but these were ready to eat and exactly what I wanted. More yummm!!!!!!

On the business front, I finally decided to stop being so lazy, and I input all my receipts. So proud of me. Worst part of the whole thing, I have been putting it off, and it took less than 30 minutes to do. I need to stop doing that. Lol

Okay, that is my day in a nutshell for the most part. Since I work tomorrow, I am going to bed now. Night night, sweetest of dreams! Kitt ☺️

I have felt so tired today. I know I have no reason to be, but I am having the hardest time keeping my eyes open.  With that in mind, nothing wild and crazy happened today. But since I can’t keep my eyes open, I am going to bed. Night, all sweet dreams! Kitt ☺️

April 5, 2024 … Busy… yet Not…

Here is the thing…

I felt bust most of the day, yet I don’t feel like I did much of anything…

I finished painting the scales for the new Ying yang dragon egg my son needs to make. I will hopefully have pictures in the next couple of days.

I figured out how to make my fur wrist cuffs close and be comfy.

I finished some paperwork and separated out my receipts. This way, tomorrow, I can input all of them.

All of that was time-consuming. So it did take a while to do it all. It just didn’t feel like I did much of anything. Another way perception gets us.

All and all, a good day, though. Tomorrow I have work 😫. I hope it goes well. For now, I am going to bed. Good night, sweet dreams, and big hugs to those who need it! Kitt ☺️

April 24, 2024 … boring day…

Today was a day of shopping and finishing up some crafts and starting new ideas.

This is a 3d print of a kuni. It’s not a great picture, I admit. But the picture was more to show the cord we wanted to wrap it with. I was worried the brown wouldn’t look good. I am so glad I was wrong. The brown suede looks really good, I think.

Besides that, not much else is going on. I am going to bed, though. I still have a low-grade headache, so hopefully, sleeping will help. Good night and sweet dreams all! Kitt ☺️

April 23, 2024… a out that nose piercing…

Come on, him is so  cute with his little nice piercing. His hat is upside down, but it is not attached all the way, so it is an easy fix. But in general… so cute!!!!

I am glad Ant is going to bed soon. I am so tired. But I had work today, plus I had to bring Ant to the fablab to pick up some stuff. Plus, I sewed all the hats. I will attach them in the morning. 

That is what Ant got. It goes in hair. I like them. We are adding an eye to the top of the handle. I think it will be awesome. Plus, we are wrapping the grip with suede.

April 21, 2024 … glue guns and nose piercings…

Come on, you know you’re intrigued with a title like that. Lol 😆 🤣 😂  I truly make myself laugh….

Okay, okay, okay, I will explain the title.

April 21, 2024… 4-21-24… a paladin.  The next few days are Luke that. Pretty cool I think.

Glue guns… I glue the beards, noses, and hats on the fabric gnomes I make.

Nose piercing… well that one, that one will be explained tomorrow. I will have pictures. Lol

As for today … work was fine. I truly don’t understand how people do not check their money when they give it to others to pay for stuff. I would notice if I gave an extra $100 to someone to pay for something. At the same time, how do my cashiers not check the money they are given better. Then, when it is noticed, how does no one leave a note for us in the back explaining why the register is $100 over. When I explain it to my management, they don’t understand. It’s so frustrating. How can I care more than my bosses. I just don’t get it. Besides that, work was fine.

The morning was beautiful.

That was on my way to work. I love seeing that tree going to and coming home from work. It’s so pretty. I will try to get a better picture of it next time I pass it.

I am almost done with my gnomes. I just have to sew the hats and then glue them down. Everything else is done. Yay. 

Hubby and I started watching g Twisted Metal on Peacock. It’s cute so far. It has a few funny moments so far. If this is how the actual game is, I can see why people like it.

April 20, 2024 … Happy 420…

For those that celebrate getting high… happy 420…. lol

Personally, I have never done it. Never felt the need or want. With saying that, I wish it was federally legal. I am thankful it is legal on my state, though. It helps my husband so much more than half the pills he has been on. With that said… Happy 420 all. 😃 😊 😀 😄 😁

I have a question…

I will be working on the chalet starting next week. We will be cleaning it and starting to set it up. So my question is,should I take pictures and video to 1. Show what we are doing and the improvements we make. 2. To showcase what we do. 3. To kind of advertise and show who we are. We have an Instagram page, I just suck at keeping up on it, to be honest. Plus, we have a Facebook page I can post on. Of course, I would be sharing on here because we all know I am a slight over sharer. 🙃 

Any insight, ideas, comments, or anything really would be helpful. I am not the best with these things. I do want to share, though, because I am really proud of myself and my family. We have worked really hard, and this chalet is a lot of work that luckily came together this year. Please, anything helps.

Besides that, and begging… today was a mostly good day. Hubby wasn’t doing great this morning. But he is feeling better tonight. We think he ate some bad raisins. Their use by year was 2021. So they were horribly out of date. Oops.

Ant, our son, and I went to Hobby Lobby today and got gnome noses, then I pinned the hats to get ready to sew them. Tomorrow, I will get the beards cut and sew the hats and hopefully put it all together. Hopefully, I will get them done tomorrow, but if not, by Monday. Then I will have pictures because, as I stated before, I love picture time and slightly over sharing. 😃

April 19, 2024… life is a journey…

Life may be a journey. But the journey needs to wait for rest. I am so tired. I feel like I am just trying to stay awake for all I am worth.

With that in mind, this is a short one tonight. The day, for the most part, was good. I am wondering about my knee a little. But I will explain tomorrow. I am having a hard time keeping my mind straight and my eyes open. Night everyone! Kitt ☺️

April 18, 2024 … over thinking at its finest!!!

Story of my life. In this instance, though, my over thinking lead to working harder, not smarter. It took my mind keeping me up last night to realize what others tried to tell me. If something isn’t shown and it is done as stability, it does NOT have to look picture perfect. No one will see it. I am so glad that finally penetrated my mind. It made finishing up the basics of my fabric gnomes so much easier. Now, tomorrow, I can finish the 12 I have set to finish. Yay me!!! (I would have more, but I ran out of base material… oppssss…lol)

I did get in some pretty stone charms today.

Isn’t that really pretty. We are making necklaces out of them. They are just simple necklaces but affordable, too. I think that is always important when you sell anything. Have something for everyone, basically.

April 17, 2024 … a little bit of this and that

The morning started strong with me being busy. Then I had to do something I hate. It had to be done, but I really hate doing it. Because of that, I tend to take forever to do it. Which is stupid, and I know it. Once it is done, I can make my fabric gnomes. We’ll I finished the cutting aspect of it and taped up 3 of them. I only have 25 more to tape up now… lol

Besides that, good day all around. My hubby made something new…

April 16, 2024 … yay…

We got the chalet at the Western Market!!!!!! Today, I picked up the keys and everything!!!! If you aren’t sure, I am very excited!!!!!!!

Just wanted to make sure you knew how excited!!! 😆 🤣 😂

Okay, besides that fun, exciting, kind of makes me nervous news… today was busy. Painted some scales, went shopping, and made some new dudes that just made me smile and laugh.

Yes, I am in a silly mood. It’s probably because I am beyond tired! It’s amazing what waking at 4:30am, stressing for over a week, doing a bunch of stuff, getting keys to my new, to me, chalet, and then having a lot of said stress fall away, will make you extra tired. But I still got in this daily post. Yay me twice, even. And… I only started dozing once while typing it out.

April 14, 2024 … walking weather finally

Let me start with reminding everyone how much I hate walking. Hiking… Good…Walking… Bad…

With saying that…

Yay, the weather is nice enough for hubby and I to take a walk at night again. Our son even joined us. Yay!!! It wasn’t a long walk. We just went around the block. And yes, by the time we were done, my knee was sore again, but so what. We got to start our walks again. I was careful, and after resting it for about 15 minutes after we got back.my knee was fine again. 🙂 I really hope the weather holds now so we can keep walking. I know it’s good for me mentally and physically, and I believe it helps my hubby, too.

On to other things of the day. It was so pretty out today. Spring is an awesome season, that’s for sure.

On to a more serious note….

Today, I realized I have a l9t of thinking to do. It is one of these thinks where you have to do it alone. You think you want to tell others and have a conversation, but once it starts, you realize you need to figure things out without others’ input. This is where I struggle, though. I am very open in many ways, but talking a little today, I realized I really need to just think things through for myself. I know that sounds ominous, but it’s nothing bad, just personal life obstacles I need to decide on. We all have them and the choices we need to think about.

Luckily, my choices aren’t that hard. Lol 😆

On to a more fun topic… okay, fun is a strong word for those who don’t like or see the need, in crafting, but fun for me. I didn’t get a lot done today. But I did get more dragon scales painted. This way, tomorrow, Ant (My son) can start pinning the next dragon egg in the Genshin Impact series he is doing. One hundred more scales need to be done, but I will finish those tomorrow. Plus, I am thinking about trying to make clay voodoo dolls. Just cutie ones, not real ones. But we will see.

Wish me luck tomorrow with the insurance issues I have been having for our business. Tomorrow, we get the one company straightened out, and the insurance will be good, or I am calling until I find a company and a good rate!

April 13, 2024 … it’s been a down day

Yep, it has! 😔

Some days are just harder than others. Today was a down day for me. I didn’t sleep well. I woke up sad and overwhelmed. I have felt off all day. I truly believe it’s because of all the issues we are having in getting this insurance for the chalet. Thought it was all taken care of, then yesterday find out it was not. The company said they would call back the same day, but they did not. It is just so much. I think today it just all hit me really hard. 😕

This is true, and I know it. But sometimes, it’s hard all the same. But I keep trying to fight through. 😤

Besides all that, I got a few things done, so that was good. I did post some pictures of the finished clay tombstones under picture time 4-13-2024 if you want to check them out.

I am going to try and sleep away the down feeling. Tomorrow, I start on the welbutrin. I hope it starts to help sooner rather than later. But I will take what I can get. Kitt ☺️

April 11, 2024 … so close yet so far…

I am told I have insurance, but they just need to finish one thing before they can send me my policy. But you know they took my money already. So now the soonest I can get the keys to the chalet is Monday. 😔  

I know Monday isn’t far away. But I feel if you take my money, then I should be able to use what I bought. In this case, it is an insurance policy for my business. Is that really touching to ask for????

Besides that, my knee feels better today than it has been the last few days. There are still a lot of the snap crackle and pop.

Ant and I finished part 5 of Jojo’s Bizzar Adventure. For this being his least favorite in the monga, he seemed to find the anima much better. I enjoyed it as well. We will be starting part 6 soon.

On the note, i am fighting to stay awake. I have already dosed off once. Thanks, Bull, for whining in my ear and waking me up to finish writing this. I will be off the bed soon. Night night and sweet dream! Kitt ☺️

April 10, 2024 … Patience is not a virtue…

Patience is something we are stuck having to do. I can be patient, but normally, I don’t want to be. If I am being forced to be patient, then it is not a virtue. I am sure you wonder why I say that. Because, let’s be honest, it’s an odd start to a post. Lol

I am being forced to be patient with this insurance situation. I have paid for it. Let me have my paperwork so I can turn everything in and get my cute little Chalet. Oh well, patience is what I have to do. Hopefully, tomorrow, I will get it early enough to be able to get the key.

I talked to work, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The HR lady was upbeat, and I felt tired to catch me saying something I didn’t, but I set her straight, and that was what mattered. But I can get what I want work wise, and that’s what is important.

Ant and I are almost done with part 5 of JoJo’s. It’s much better than I thought it would be with how Ant talked about it. That makes me happy. Plus, Ant told me that One Piece is dubbed through the beginning of the first gear 5 appearance of Luffy. Very excitedto see that after we finish Jojo’s.

April 9, 2024 … I got insurance….

You read that right. Yesterday, I took the day off for the most part. I talked with hubby and tried to help with his freak out about the little shop we are trying to get. Thought we worked some stuff out. Sadly, it wasn’t as much as I thought. But it’s okay. One of his issues was settled today because though I took yesterday off, today I got us insurance!!!! And at a much better rate than we were being quoted. Yay!!!

Tomorrow, I will call the woman and set up a time to see her so we can pay her and do the rest of the paperwork and get our keys. Then we can go into the little shop and start cleaning and mapping out how we want to set it up. Yay!!!!

In case you were not sure… lol

Besides that today…. son and I did a little shopping, and since then, my knee had been kind of sore. Tomorrow I have work so I will need to be careful. I am going to bring one of my crutches in case it becomes too much. I just think that’s a good idea.

Past that, my day has been good. Now I am getting ready for bed. Night all. Kitt ☺️

April 8, 2024 … Eclipse

Taken through eclipse glasses. I think it came out okay.

Where I live, the eclipse covered between 92 and 95 percent of the sun. And what is truly amazing is that it was still so bright out. 🌞 I haven’t seen one since I was a child, well, one that covered that much of the sun. It was amazing then, and it was just as amazing today. About how much of the sun was covered where you were?

My knee is doing a bit better. There is still pressure when bending it, but most of the constant pain is gone. It is like snap, crackle, and pop at times. I knew that would happen, though. Well, the amount would go higher. It’s always cracking, it feels like. Luckily, I don’t go back to work till Wednesday, so we will see how I do.

I finished the last paint coat on scales for the next Genshin Impact egg. Well, half of them. We do them in halves to make it easier. Okay, not totally true. It does make it easier, but until recently, we didn’t have enough stuff to put the scales on to paint. Now we do, yay!!! I am going to try and do the designs on small eggs’ free hand. I really hope I don’t mess it up. I will show you when I try.

Besides all that, today was a good day. I relearning movements that hurt, so I should really avoid them. 😆 😆 😆

April 7,2024 … knee update …

My knee feels better than yesterday. I am glad I had the muscle relaxers.my knee is still sore, and the pressure once I bend it to a certain point is bed, but it is still better than yesterday. I feel that’s all that matters. Tomorrow will be better still. I still used one crutch to walk around with to bed safe today. Two reasons, one, it still hurt to support my weight. But I could support it where I couldn’t last night. Two, we have our two dogs. They were both worried about me and literally walked with me everywhere. I made the slightest noise, and bam, there they were. I’m not complaining per-say, but at 80 pounds and over 100 pounds, yeah, I needed the buffer. Their love can be dangerous with their size. Lol 😆 🤣 😂

Most of the day, I relaxed. I made myself start bending my leg a little during the day. I still walked with it locked so I wouldn’t hurt it. Fear is real. What can I say… Tomorrow, I will force myself to walk as normal as I can. I will keep the one crutch for part of the day in case it starts hurting really bad or the dogs get too close. Seriously, their rails could be registered as lethal weapons. Lol 😆

On the bonus side, I got a quote for insurance at 675 dollars. Still to much, but it’s getting cheaper. Yay!!!! Hopefully, the calls tomorrow will be even cheaper.

Plus, I got another set of dragon scales painted for a new egg. I need to take a picture of the 4 that are done so far. There are 3 more to make. Uuugggg, so many!!! But they are coming out so well.

April 6, 2024 … knee issues….

This is a quick one before my muscle relaxer kicked in. My knee tendon locked up, then luckily popped out again. It hurts really bad, hense the muscle relaxer and the naproxon I took. Hopefully, tomorrow, it will be a lit better to where I don’t need crutches.

For now, though, it’s hard to focus, and I hurt. Night all Kitt ☺️

April 5, 2024 … just take my money!!!

I get the 90 square foot chalet. I have everything except my insurance is not enough. I need to up my limits. I spent an hour and a half with one company. Got a quote. Then, 2 hours later, I was told that they actually couldn’t cover me. So I got to other quotes, 750 dollars and 950 dollars. I swear that’s just crazy. So now I have a call in with one other place and have to wait till Monday. I hate that.

We did go look at the unit we got today. That was exciting. We won’t have any issue filing it. Wish we could have gotten 120 square feet, but I am still happy. Especially now with how insurance is going.

Shockingly, that is not even the best news. Hubby has this friend in California, and they sent us a thousand dollars because they believed in our business that much. They are such a wonderful person. My hubby and I are luckily to have them in our life. We felt like this before the money.

April 4, 2024 … we were accepted!!!!!

Very exciting!!!!!

The interview went really well. I was so nervous. There were 6 other people plus me. All on this Zoom call. I hoped I did well, and I must have because we got one of the 90 square feet chalets. Yay!!!!!

When we got the news, I was so excited with a hundred things going through my head. But since then, I have become quiet. I just realized while I was getting ready for bed that I am low-key freaking out. 🙃

What am I going to do now….

What if this doesn’t work and I lose everything…

How am I going to make enough without working more hours at my job…

All these ‘what if’ are running through my mind. I know it is normal. I know I would probably have a mini freak out. I just wish it wouldn’t happen.

Do I know if all will be well? Of course not. Do I know I will do my best? Of course I will. Even if I was working a full-time job, all those ‘what if’ questions would still be there. Logically, I know this. Sadly, that part of me that likes to freak out at change is kind of going crazy right now.

I decided when I realized I was freaking out that since I know what is happening, I will allow myself this time to freak out. Then tomorrow morning, after bagel time, I am going to go through the contract, make my list of things to get done tomorrow, then go see the chalet we got. As far as my hubby and son will be concerned, all is good and positive from me.

On the other hand, tomorrow night, I may freak out a little on here to you guys, gals, and everyone in-between. But I do truly believe it will be mostly good things I will be sharing. But honestly, I need an outlet. Thank you, WordPress, for this outlet!!! ❤️

Besides the great news that we got the chalet, today was mostly good in general. Work was easy. Di kept texting me silly 🤪 and not so silly to keep my mind from fixating. She is awesome like that. I am on season three of The Dome. If you have read the book, they are nowhere near the same. But both are good.

April 3, 2024 … interview tomorrow…

Tomorrow at 3pm. That’s when my interview with the committee is. Then I have to wait to hear if it is a yay or a nay on if I get into a chalet at the Western Market. Hopefully, it won’t be a long wait. Though I will be sad if we don’t get in, I won’t be heartbroken. But to have to wait one way or the other for a long time. That might be too much for me. I am nervous excited though so that’s good. At least I think it is good. 😋

I am making axolotls today. I have the base form done of 12 of them. Tomorrow, I need to make twelve more and put the details in. Then I need to bake the clay. If I get them done in time, I will take pictures. Otherwise, it will be Friday for pictures.

I do work tomorrow, so that will help keep my mind busy for a little while. But from 9:30 am till 2:55pm, I feel I may obsess. Lol

April 2, 2014 … yay I have an interview!!!!

I am so excited!!!! For just deciding sput of the moment to try for the Western Market, I turned everything in today. I have an I terrier with the committee on thursday!!! Yay!!!!!! I am so excited and nervous and all the emotions.

My only dilemma is that I have never used Zoom. I am told it is really easy and it won’t be an issue. I am really hoping that is true. The interview ca. Take up to 10 minutes. Five minutes is me explaining what we make and 5 minutes of them asking questions. I hope I don’t flub it.

My play date with my cohorts mom was fine. She is nice. She was hoping to get a chalet at the Western Market to, but realized that with 3 puppy litters coming in the next 3 months, it probably wasn’t fezzable.

April 1, 2024… yay it’s done!!!

I am so excited and nervous. Tomorrow, I am turning in my application for the Western Market. I really hope I get one. The one we want is 120 square feet. The other two sizes are 90 square feet and 150 square feet. We think the middle size will be good for us. But any would be great. Wish us luck!

Bull, our male dog was just too cute today.

He just maxed out, snoring with his head on a pillow. It was so cute and so very loud. Lol

I feel my life is very lucky. I don’t always see it, but it is true. I have a family that loves me. I can pay my bills. My dogs are cute. I have all you readers who have been with me through the beginning of the blog and throughout. I am just lucky to have these things. Thanks!

March 31, 2024… Easter and play dates…

Today was Easter. I feel like it happened way too early this year. I understand how it is calculated, but that doesn’t change the fact that it feels like it came so early.

This is also the first year my son didn’t want to do an Easter Egg hunt, and he didn’t want to Dye eggs. I understand the egg hunt. It’s not as much fun when you do it by yourself. But the coloring of the eggs. He used to love that… omg, writing this inrealized we didn’t give our son all his gifts. Not that there was a lot. It was 3 things, but we forgot 2 of them until I was writing this post. Lol It’s not a big deal since he literally picked them out and k ew about them, but still funny since I am sitting in bed and finally remembered. Lol turned my Easter story funny at least. Lol

As for the Playdate part of my title. I told one of my co-horts about wanting to do the little chalets this year, and she said how her mom was really interested in it. Then her mom happened to call while we were talking about it. She was wondering about them too and asked for some help. I gave her a couple websites and said call if need help. My co-hort messages tonight saying her mom asked if I could meet up for lunch to help her out. So it is like her daughter set us up on a play date. Lol I don’t mind helping her. It can be hard, I get that. So now I am having lunch with a lady I have never met and only talked to for maybe 5 minutes today. Lol I can’t see how this can go wrong at all. Lol

Besides all that today, it’s been a good day. Work wasn’t even bad. That’s always a bonus. Now I am getting ready for bed. It’s been a rather long day today. But a good one, and that’s all that counts. Night, everyone! Kitt ☺️

March 30, 2024 … choices…

Today, I had to choose to either make more clay items or not. You see, I have a bad wrists. There are times it will hurt so badly to do anything. When that happens, I am not able to craft at all for a few days. Today, my wrist was giving me warning signs. So I had to choose to pay attention to the slight pain whether I was using it or not, or to ignore it and keep going. I chose to pay attention. I am so glad I did. 😊  I know if I had kept going, I would have ended up in my brace. And if that happens, then nothing is getting done, and I am miserable. This way, I didn’t do anything with clay today, but I did paint the scales. Now, tomorrow, I should be good to go to help with Easyer Dinner and not be in pain while at work. So I think I made the right choice.

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday for many. Until this year, my work has had an Easter Potluck they have put on. This year, they are calling it a Spring Fling. Seriously, I asked a few people who have been there as long as me or longer. Everyone thinks it dumb that they changed it. 🙄  Whatever, though. Just another way that my job is trying to be PC in the eyes of others, but not in real life. Perception is everything and nothing!

Besides that, today was a good day. Get to hang out with my son. The sad part was why he didn’t want an egg hunt this year. It wasn’t because of his age. He said it wasn’t as fun to do by himself. I hate that. To me, that means he wants to but doesn’t want to do it alone. I told him he needs to try and get his friends to come over for a BBQ and we will do a large one for everyone. We might even get my oldest and his friends in on it. Hubby even agreed. But we will see. But how much fun would that be. 😃 😊 😀 😄

March 29, 2024 … wisdom in music…

Okay, maybe it isn’t wisdom but actually really good timing. I rarely listen to anything while driving home from work. I know it seems odd to most people when I say that. But you need to understand, until I had this jeep I didn’t have a radio in my vehicle. So it is not something I am used too even though I have had the jeep for 4 years now. Compared to almost 20 without a radio, 4 years isn’t much.

But I digress….

I turned on the radio on the way home today from work. It’s a 7-minute drive, I normally spend most of that time looking for something that isn’t a commercial. Today, I heard a song I hadn’t heard in a really long time. And of course now I can’t think of the name of it. But basically, the song talks about just doing something. There is no time better than now. Sure, the song was about taking a trip. But if you take that part out, it really fits into my life right now. Basically, just go for it is what I got out of the song. I really needed to hear that right now. Sure, I have friends and my family telling me that, but sometimes you need something else to drive it home. I haven’t heard this song in at least 10 years, then to hear it today. Yep, that’s what I needed!!!!

Lol story of my life!

As I said, I worked today. I got done with my job, and then I typed up my business plan. I may not want to work where I do anymore, but I do love the fact that I can pretty much do personal stuff when I need to.

Plus, today, I made mini mushrooms and pumpkins, tacked the board, and painted to scales before I called my day done. My back is letting me know I might have done too much. Lol

It’s been a good day, though. Busy, enjoyable, and got more off my list. I am taking it as a win for the day. Good night all! Kitt

March 27, 2014

Made hubby make a doctor appointment because he was cleaning his ear and his hand started shaking and he ended up pushing the q-tip so far I to his ear he made it bleed. Then, in his ultimate bad decision making, he dumped peroxide in his ear to clean it out while it was still bleeding. Not gushing blood but turning a Q-tip red with blood, bleeding. So I made him make an appointment to get it checked out. I am sure he is fine, but he says it’s like hearing underwater on that side. Which is not a good thing. And it hurts to.lay on still. Again, it’s not a good sign. So doctors appointment it is.

Besides that, it was not a bad day. Got a toe made, sealed up a dragon egg, and made a bunch of clay gnomies, which I will have pictures of tomorrow. Hopefully, I will have a picture of the finished big hand. Hubby and son also got Thing Hand necklaces, keychains, and earrings almost done. They have been busy.

On a completely different note, my mind keeps jumping between trying to get into other faires and going for the western market. I love doing the Renaissance faires, but I have wanted to get into the western market for years but have never been able to. But this year I have everything but the business plan in place. Uuuggg, my mind just keep jumping. I am finishing the business plan tomorrow and turning it in after work on Friday. Wish me luck either way.

I am going to try and get some sleep now. Early morning doctor appointment for hubby plus I am tired. Night night, sweet dreams! Kitt ☺️

March 26, 2024… I remembered the pictures!!!

I am so proud of myself. I remembered to take pictures of the clay babies I made. Yay me!!!! There are 6 front and back baby pictures, so a total of 12 pictures.

Now, if I had just remembered to take a picture of the finished Thing Hand, my hubby and son has made. Maybe tomorrow… lol

I made some mushrooms today as well. I will try and get pictures tomorrow. But we all know I am not great about it. But I will try.

My family has decided to try something new this year since the Renaissance faires are not quite working out like I envisioned. But because of them, I have the majority of what I need to try something else. You see, we have a farmers market like most cities. I used to love setting up there. Then they got new management and things changed for us. Now, in 2 years, the price has almost doubled. We no longer want to set up there.

There is this other area that has shopping. It is called Western Market. These are little buildings ranging from 90 square feet to 150 square feet. You rent them for a season. May through mid-December. One of the best things about them, they are part of every downtown thing. Art fairs, food faires, bike time, and more. So it is like automatically getting into these venues I normally couldn’t. So we are going to try for that this year. We know it’s not a guarantee, but we figure, why not try.

March 25, 2024 … little things add up…

At work, I was driving myself crazy. I kept making these tiny mistakes. It made something that normally takes an hour and a half take almost 3 hours. It’s so annoying. But at least I got it all worked out. It just took twice as long…

I am pretty sure I talked about me making pumpkin muffins. They came out so well. Sadly, my tummy does not agree. Good thing my hubby loves them, and so do the people at work. And I know they will freeze fine if we want. Yay

My son rode his bike to meet me for lunch today after work. It was so cool of him. He even paid for it. He is such a good and giving kid.

March 24, 2024… work than lazy….

Today I went to work. Honestly, the struggle is so real when I have to go. But I know I have to, so I go. Tomorrow is stupid, though. There are two of us there. There is no reason for the two of us to be there.

Honestly, it doesn’t take me long to do the basic vault stuff. Even with counting money, there isn’t a reason for the two of us. And definitely not with me there for an extra hour for some reason. Whatever, it’s an extra hour on my paycheck, and I like hanging out with my cohorts back there.

Lazy wise, though…. I just didn’t want to make anything today. I know I should have. I have a list and everything I did work on, so I know what I do have to make. I just couldn’t get in the right mindset to do it, though. I truly believe if you don’t have positive energy when you make it, then it won’t male people smile when they see it. And who wants to buy something that doesn’t bring them some kind of joy.

I don’t really have much else today. Oh… one thing my hubby told me today, they brought poking people back to Facebook. I didn’t k ow they took it away. Lol, so if you have Facebook and miss poking people, it’s back. Just go to the search bar, type in poke, and it comes up. At least, that is what my hubby said to do. Enjoy your poking of others!

March 23, 2024 … so much… but not too!

Today was a good day all around. I got so much done. I am so proud of myself.

Today I got a toe made, and it didn’t tear, which makes me so happy!!!! I finished painting the scales for the earth (okay, the game calls it bloom, I think) genshin impact egg. I finished off the turtles, so they are completely done, plus I made 15 glow in the dark gnomies. They all got baked even. So double yay me!!!

Plus, my son got the stained egg boxes put together and the 5 other boxes taken apart and sanded. So those can be painted either tomorrow or Monday. It just depends on what else he has going on tomorrow. See a very busy day. But such a good day.

I was talking to Di today and realized I need to take more accountability for myself. I am allowing my moods to dictate my emotions. Yes, I do realize how stupid that sounded. Moods are emotions, but I didn’t know how else to say it. So, I am going to try and keep myself from spiraling as badly. I doubt I will also manage to control it, but I do think if I stay on top of it, it should hopefully mot male me feel as disheartened. I do not like that feeling. 😒

I swear I love the smell of fresh laundry. The smell is just smile inducing. And yes, I know that is a random thought, but I just grabbed some socks, and they smell lovily!!!! So, I am sharing!

Oh, and yay again…. the pumpkins my hubby cooked for me, and I paraded, I made pumpkin muffins out of them. I was worried about freezing it. They wouldn’t be as good. But my hubby said they were very good. I am do happy, because I still have 2 or 3 bags left. Lol

March 22, 2024 … stinky dogs

I sometimes think my dogs have it in for me with their farts. I mean, seriously, how can they fart in tandem way too often. And they do it while laying down around wherever I am. So stinky!!!! But I still love their stinky butts!!! Lol

The toe I made today slightly tore around the nail bed. Hopefully, hubby was able to fix it. It’s such a small hole. Sadly, we won’t know till tomorrow.

Besides that, it was a quiet, snowy day.

March 20, 2024… busy day

I wake up feeling like I gave so much to do. Which I do have a lot to do. But at a certain point in the day, my mind goes off line. But not in a quiet way…. No… That would be too nice for me. Instead, it starts randomly jumping from things I need to do that day to things that just need doing to things I gave done to things I have dismissed to needed to be done. It’s like a constant loop. It’s so annoying.

But I digress… lol

I have been getting more things done, though. Or it just feels that way, at least. There is a lot to make before May. But it is already almost done with March. That’s probably why my brain is being this way.

But for tonight, I say good night and hope for sweet dreams for me and you. Kitt ☺️

March 19, 2014… More Sea Cucumber knowledge

I also learned that the sea cucumber will also expelled some of its organs when frightened. Then, regrow them. All through their butts that they also breathe out of. Yes, I am a tad obsessed over this, it seems. My hubby is watching something on sea creatures, and  they just keep throwing out one-liner facts about the sea cucumber. Being the wonderful giver I am, I am sharing these one-liner facts with you. You are very welcome!!!

Besides the bit of knowledge, today has been basically good. I have just been freezing g all day. I’m not really sure why, but I have been so cold. I admit the wind has been crazy today, but infeel I am colder than the weather calls for. I have wonderful blankets, though, so all is good.

I did remember today why I don’t eat or drink blood oranges. They taste awesome, but my body does not seem to like them. Remembered that the hard way. 😔 😟

Took my moster to the FabLab today. He made a 3D Thing Hand. It isn’t stained yet, but I think it looks good, but once stained, it will be awesome.

March 18, 2024 …

I learned an odd fact that I probably never needed to know. It was so shocking I made a post about it. Look up Sea Cucumber on my page. It’s just a little random shocking fact. 😲 😲

I got 7 of my babies clothed, I will be finishing them tomorrow, and I will take a few pictures.

I tried to print some pictures of my products at work. I never have printed anything in color. The one time I tried, the color printer wasn’t working. Now I need to go to the library and see how much to print the pictures twice. I hope it’s not a lot.

We have fajitas tonight. Chicken, peppers, onions lettice, sour cream, rice, and salsa. It was so yummy!!!!

I am, of course, falling asleep while writing this. Heck, I just had to erase a bunch of ‘u’ since that is where my finger was when my eyes closed. Which they did again. So on that note, good night, sweet dreams, and may your night be filled with smiles 😃. Kitt ☺️

Beyond that, today was a good day. I left work early today because the fire alarm kept going off. So annoying!

I got the rest of the babies done and mostly baked. Tomorrow, I will be working on clothing the babies. I will take more pictures then.

March 16, 2024…

The base baby is a mold, but I add to it to make it my own to sell. So far, for these, I have added the elf ears. I have made others since this picture to add to them. Four of them have horns, and the others are the simple mold only. After I back them a little while, I will add hats, diapers, blankets, and just different embellishments to male them cuter. 😉 I will take more pictures, hopefully tomorrow.

I saw this advertisement for an app to help a person move more. It’s called Walkfit. Has anyone used it before? If so, could you tell me if it is as low impact as it sounds??? I am thinking of giving it a try.

I want to try it or something that is low impact to help me move a little more. Maybe build up my stamina. With the Renaissance faires coming up, I have to do better. Mostly for me, but also so I don’t over due it there setting up, working, and then breaking down. Plus the drive time for each one, each way. I need to be stronger.

Do you ever wonder what your life would have been with different choices while at the same time wondering why you aren’t changing your life now???? Though I would never change the choices in my life because of the family I have, I do still wonder. Then I see where I am, what I have, what I actually want, and realize again that I am no longer 25 like I think I am in my head. Yes, I know it’s a lot to think about. But this is how my mind works in a split second. And I wonder why my head hurts at times. Lol 😆

I complain a lot about work. I know this. But today, I actually defended a question asked to one of my cohorts by a manager. My cohort thought the question was stupid, and the manager basically just tried to find something to get on her about. Though I agree the manager was probably just trying to be a jerk to the cohort, it was a legitimate question in general. The manager asked if they were doing vault. (Vault has its own office space. 1 of 4 closed off spaces where it is easier to do work).

This is a legitimate question. Technically, if you are not doing vault work, you probably shouldn’t be in the office. But when you have a limited amount of space, you are 1 of 3 employees with a key, and then 4 managers have keys, it is a very good place to get work done. Especially since the HR lady calls you in that office because that’s the easiest place to work. Reality though, no, if you are not doing vault work, you should not be in the vault.

But after many conversations with my cohort, I believe the manager questions not because it was a vault but because she was looking for something to get on her about. But the question itself, I will defend. The reason behind the question is that I find suspicious.

Today was overall good, though. I got crafting done. Helped with dinner, helped a friend, and got to watch The Traitors, UK, yay. Hope your day was good as well. Kitt ☺️
